Who is Boity?

Boitumelo Thulo is a South African TV personality, singer, actor, model, and businesswoman. Boity is known for her eagerness and grabbing all the opportunities coming her way. The 30-year-old entrepreneur caught the attention of the media last week by her tweet in which she asked to be excused for being herself by an eagerness to succeed. The tweet by Boity was directed to the individuals holding her against her back by shaming her.

 

 

 

 

 

What exactly does Boity do for a living?

Boity recently collaborated with Daliwonga, Felo Lelo Tee in their unreleased song. The artist went live on her Instagram where she caught the attention of the social media users. Early this year, News24 reported that the Boitumelo signed a deal with the non-alcoholic beverages producing companies.

Boity revealed that her background motivates her to take all the available opportunities she comes across and make the living out of them. She said when she grew up she was not privileged when growing that is why she is working hard to be a fully independent woman. The entrepreneur owns a perfume called Boity Pink Sapphire.

Boity shared a tweet on her Twitter on which she asked people to stop shaming her for striving for success.

Why is shaming a toxic behavior and how does it happen.

According to the Oxford dictionary definition, ‘shaming’ occurs when you make someone feel ashamed. This occurs by constantly making bad remarks on people who are trying to start up their business. Shaming is actually one of the toxic behaviors that set back society and one of the reasons why people are afraid to start something new and reinvent themselves. Feeling ashamed comes with feeling guilty in the mind for doing something that is different from the norms of society.

Media mostly is frequently used as a tool to mad people afraid of trying something new. While other people may find it fun to hold others back by shaming them, they do not realize that they are actually doing harm and not helping the situation.

Shaming is pretty much, a toxic trait and people should learn to refrain from such behavior. Let us be supportive of our brothers and sisters hustling because at the end of the day we all want the soft life. We need people like Boity to educate society on how to hustle, shaming people like her is not a good idea for society.
