Big Zulu Inkabi Nation concert called off due to poor ticket sales

The Inkabi Nation Sunday Invasion, an event by Big Zulu, was set at the Warehouse Pup and had ticket prices ranging from R100 to R300. The Impilo hitmaker Sjava and the Queen of Limpopo dance music, Makhadzi, were featured as supporting performers, along with several other musicians from the record company.

You’d think that Big Zulu’s ticket sales would soar because it is evident that South Africans adore his music. Still, I guess listening to the radio, music streaming services, and taxi ranks is more than enough rather than paying for a ticket to hear them live. Or, even better, maybe everyone was broke after spending most of their money at Durban July.

The performance had modest ticket sales, and there were also few social media comments about it.Partygoers had a tonne of options this past weekend because Durban was the main entertainment hub. Aside from the primary racecourse event, events like Fact: Durban Rocks, Cotton Fest, Max’s Lifestyle, and Anywhere In Your City dominated the spotlight.Big Zulu releases the precise date for the celebrity soccer matches. Soccer, on the other hand, draws people together more than music does, and South African musicians have capitalised on that idea to encourage unity among themselves.

Since they were first presented, the Celebrity Soccer matches including SA Hip-hop musicians, Maskandi, Gqom, and Gospel have been a fantastic idea. Following the fantastic soccer match from last year, where Cassper and AKA gave each other a high five, Mzansi will see another match this year. The person at the centre of this effort, Big Zulu, revealed the official date for this year’s Disk Games on Instagram. The AW Muller Stadium at UJ will host the games.

The Zulu rapper asked competitors and spectators to mark July 23 on their calendars as the actual date of this year’s games.
