Dr Nandipha Magudumana and her legal representatives were crossing their fingers and hoping that she would be released from police custody soon after they filed an application to declare her arrest in Tanzania as unlawful, but there were some bad news for Dr Nandipha Magudumana earlier this morning (Monday 5 June) as her bid to have her arrest in Tanzania declared illegal has been dismissed with costs at the Free State High Court, which means that she is going to remain in police custody.
The Free State High Court’s ruling against Dr Nandipha Magudumana’s bid comes after she claimed that she was unlawfully detained in Tanzania, Dr Nandipha Magudumana and her legal representatives are claiming that she was blindfolded and abducted by law enforcement agencies in Arusha before she was deported back to South Africa, but the Free State High Court dismissed her bid with costs earlier this morning.
