Baby Cele is joining season 2 of Sibongile & The Dlaminis as Samkelisiwe, Bab’Ntombela’s sister, and it looks like she is set to shake things up for her former friends Deliwe and Phetheni.


 

 

 

 

 

The three met as young women and connected over their shared experience of being scammed, but she got the short end of the stick in this friendship trio, which sets her on a path for revenge.
Baby Cele is one of the extremely talented actors in Mzansi and she has showcased her talent on productions like Mzansi Magic’s Ring Of Lies, Saints and Sinners and recently Shaka Ilembe. Watch her as she returns to Ixopo and turns some people’s lives upside down on the new season of Sibongile & The Dlaminis on Mzansi Wethu (DStv Channel 163) from 29 July at 6:30pm.

Baby Cele Maloka, she is a talented actress who is best known for her character as Gabisile on one of most watched TV soapie, Uzalo. The actress is also best known for her role in a show which was called Backstage on e.tv where she portrayed the Character of Katlego Rathebe for a whole eight years.
Baby Cele is one of the legends in the entertainment industry, she has seen them come and go, and endured it all to rise to the very top. Challenges have not come from outside but also from within. Personal and external struggles have both shaped this immense personality.
The award-winning-actress was born on 22 March 1972 in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. We all thought she was younger, given her on-screen energy and vibe. No doubt the showrunners played us.
She had her shot to fame in 1986 when she made her first debut on small screens. In the mix of things, she was cast in Sarafina.
She made all sorts of headlines with her Kaltego Rathebe on-screen character on Backstage, which she starred in for eight years. However, in the wake of her newfound fame, she starred in My Perfect family as Portia. In the mix of things, she was cast in Shreds and Dreams play as Beauty.
With an illustrious career spanning years, the bubbly actress has been nominated more than for time for the Golden Hord Award for the best female actress. In 2012 she joined the star-studded cast of Mzansi Magic telenovela Inkaba as Slindile Dludlu.
However, in the backdrop of her exit in 2013, she went on to beg a lead role on Zabalaza as Gasta Cele. She starred in Isidingo as Sibongile Nene three years later before switching the floor to Uzalo. In recent years she has been the face of Uzalo and is one of the most-paid cast members on the drama series.
