Gqom singer Babes Wodumo’s moving speech at Mampintsha’s mother’s funeral has touched Mzansi’s heart.
Mampintsha’s mother ZamaNguni Gumede passed away on the evening of January 15 barely a month after her son passed away.
Contrary to reports that Babes Wodumo was banned from attending the Mampintsha’s mother’s funeral, the singer was also one of the mourners at Zamanguni Gumede’s funeral.

Speaking at her mother-in-law’s funeral, Babes Wodumo vowed to take care of Mampintsha’s family.
The Wololo hitmaker assured Mampintsha’s family that they would never go hungry as long she is still around.
She implored Mampintsha’s family to contact her if they ever need anything.
Today I want to assure you that you will never go hungry when I’m still around. I will be your pillar of strength, you have a sister in me. If you need anything please call me and if you cannot get hold of me do not hesitate to come to my house at Westville. I am prepared to pay for a metered taxi,” she said.
Following Mampintsha’s mother’s sudden death, her daughter Pinky Gumede pleaded for donations and funds so that she could give her mother a dignified burial.
Babes Wodumo however chipped in and paid all her funeral costs, the Daily Sun reports
The singer set the record straight on why she paid Mampintsha’s funeral cost. She said did it because she loved her mother-in-law and wanted to give her a dignified sendoff.
“I didn’t do this to show off but I wanted to make sure that my mother-in-law gets a dignified funeral. We had our differences but in the end, we always made peace. We understood each other. I loved her and I’m glad we made peace,”
Just like at her husband’s memorial and funeral, Babes Wodumo was also spotted dancing at Mampintsha’s mother’s funeral.
