Only a few days after laying her husband and baby daddy to rest, Gqom queen and reality TV show star Bongekile Simelane aka Babes Wodumo has continued to be the talk of the town. On New Year’s Eve, she performed at a conference, just a day after Mandla Maphumulo aka Mampintsha was laid to rest.

 

 

Also, her picture was featured on a Clientele Life poster, making her presence known on social media. It is clear that her impact and influence will continue to be felt, even in the wake of tragedy.

Trolls have already started making fun of Babes on social media. They have made their own renditions to make a mockery of Babes Wodumo.

A post is making rounds on social media, with Babes Wodumo on a Clientele Life poster next to Clientele Life ambassador Lilian Dube, and it is captioned: “My name is Babes Wodumo. I am a widow, a musician and a proud mother of Sponge. My husband uBaba Mampintsha was a great performer and great provider but without him, on stage, it means our daily needs might not be taken care of. Alisekho ibhodwe eliy’ziko”. The poster reads.

Mampintsha was laid to rest on 30 December 2022, he died on 24 December, at King Edward Hospital in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, where he was hospitalized after suffering from minor stroke.
