After brazenly claiming that the Springboks were “undeserving” of winning the Rugby World Cup, former England rugby captain Mike Tindall has done a complete turnaround.

The retired rugby player-turned-royal has congratulated the South African team, who he has surprisingly hailed the “greatest team” in the world.

Following the Springbok’s heroic and historic Rugby World Cup win, Mike Tindall – who is co-anchor of the popular podcast The Good, The Bad, The Rugby shared a video message to his arch-rivals.

He said: “[The All Blacks] could have won that game. But the team that can find a way to win found a way again, and you can’t look beyond that.

He continued: “That is why they are the greatest tournament team. They’re now literally the greatest tournament team [in the world], with four wins.

“It came down to one point hat trick of one point.”

But it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, as the former England player issued a “warning” to the Springboks.

Mike added: “See you in four years. We’re coming for you”.

Springbok’s lock Eben Etzebeth had social media users’ tongues wagging after he was spotted with a fresh new hair-do as seen in an X (formally known as Twitter) post shared on 29 October.

The Springboks came victorious in the Rugby World Cup 2023 final against their opponents, the All Blacks. The South African national rugby team won the final game with 12 points, beating New Zealand by a point ahead. Eben Etzebeth has since seemingly marked the victory with a new hairstyle.

The 32-year-old was seen with a cool Mohawk-style in a video doing the rounds on social media. He has also recently had netizens guessing after he and his wife, Anlia were photographed together on the field at the Stade the France in Saint-Denis in Paris. This comes after social media users zoomed in on Anlia’s stomach. Netizens were convinced the Springbok WAG and her rugby player hubby are expecting a baby.

 

 

The lovely couple tied the knot in February. Eben is said to have met his darling wife in October 2021 and wasted no time making his intentions with her clear by popping the big question in March 2022, the Citizen reported.

The Springboks stars left France today as warriors after defending the World Cup.

It was a few difficult weeks for the Springboks as they gave everything to defend the title.

In the knockout stages, the Springboks looked a little rusty but managed to go through by a point in their games.Surprisingly, the Springboks continued with their style and won the final again with a point over New Zealand.

After the game, it was all celebrations in France, with the fans on the ground going wild.

The players celebrated much, with stars like Faf de Klerk and Trevor Nyakane taking all the attention.
