Shimza was born in Swaziland and given the name Ashley Raphala. Shimza, on the other hand, grew up in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni. Shimza was reared by his grandfather, whom he affectionately referred to as Shimi. As a result of that nickname, he was dubbed Shimza, which became his stage name.

Shimza began his profession when he was 15 years old.

He was inspired to pursue his aspirations and began working as a DJ in the dance music scene in 2003. After a spectacular debut, he was able to win the Red Square DJ Competition in 2006.

It’s another hot episode #DowntimewithSomizi this week when Somizi gets to seat down and joined by the amazing south Africa radio presenter, actress and entrepreneur Thando Thabethe and DJ Sbu who is an musician and entrepreneur.

AKA shared on his instagram stories that he was busy spending the day with his daughter Kairo at her school. Kairo had a ballet show and Aka was there to watch her performance. AKA also helped to make hot dog rolls for the children and give them juices aswell.

Kairo looked absolutely gorgeous with her red ballet outfit as she and a group of girls performed and AKA is so good with children. He was definitely being a hands on dad today as he was there for his daughter. He even gave her a kiss as she went to perform.

Ses’fikile is a show on Mzansi Wethu that has been helpfully bringing the housemates of Big Brother Mzansi to catch up with us. It’s clear that the show is giving fans exactly what they want and during this particular episode, people were pleased. Themba Broly came onto the show and his fans, Ghostnation, were gratified.

His teasing words about a fellow housemate seemed to linger though.

The rumour mill has been churning with a “TheMpho” relationship for weeks now. They have been sharing cryptic posts with each other and being photographed together at every turn. But neither of them have bothered to say the words everyone wants to hear… until today.

Sol Pheduka, our host with the most, managed to get a semblance of an agreement from the elusive man. He denied any dating rumours but claimed he was, ” happy with her”. To me and most, it sounded like a confession of love, an admittance of their lowkey relationship.
