Karabo Magongwa has been passionate about acting from a tender age. Her journey to stardom has been impressive, with her taking major roles in notable television shows. “My mom told me that I used to play in front of the mirror a lot, acting. And whenever I would see a child playing a role on TV, I’d always say I could do that as well or even better than that person. So she looked for an agent for me, and when she found one, we went for auditions.
“I did everything they asked me to do, and I became an actress,” she said.
She enjoys acting on House of Zwide and collaborating with big performers like Vusi Kunene, Winnie Ntshaba, Motlatsi Mafatshe, and Jeffery Sekele.
“The last year has been incredible. Despite the fact that they are famous actors, we have all become like a large family. What I enjoy about the actors is that, despite their celebrity, they don’t have enormous egos.”
The new season of House of Zwide premiered last month, and Karabo predicts that viewers will be hooked to their televisions because it is so compelling.
