US singer Usher performed for 13 minutes during the half-time show at the NFL’s Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas on Sunday, 11 February.

But the 45-year-old didn’t get paid to sing hits like Caught Up and You Don’t Have To Call.

According to 9News, the NFL does not pay performers to feature in the half-time show. So what’s the upside to performing in the Super Bowl’s coveted half-time slot? Exposure.

In 2021 The Weekend benefited from a 385% increase in music sales and a 41% increase in streaming of his songs after performing at the Super Bowl.

According to the American Press, the match garnered 123.7 million viewers across television and streaming platforms.

Usher performed hits like Superstar, Love In This Club, My Boo, Confession Part II, Nice & Slow and Burn.

According to Stubhub, artists typically see a 50% increase in concert ticket searches after performing at the Super Bowl, and The Weekend sold one million tickets after his performance.

When Nonku introduced RD to her Instagram followers in 2022, there were rumours he was a scammer, an abuser and a rapist.
