Actress Dawn Thandeka King is reportedly returning to the SABC 1 telenovela Uzalo.

The actress left the show in 2021 to join DiepCity, a Mzansi Magic telenovela. MaNgcobo was portrayed by Thandeka King on Uzalo prior to her departure.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

According to rumors, the actress might begin making appearances on Uzalo in March 2023.

This follows the announcement by Mzansi Magic that DiepCity would not be renewed for a second season. The actress will probably return to Uzalo since the show is in its final season.

Her character was still alive when the actress left the show.

When Natasha Thahane posted images of herself dressed in a traditional black-and-white outfit, it puzzled people. Most of Natasha’s professional acquaintances were present at a private event in Soweto, but none of them mentioned what she was up to.

The actor left the soapie last month and cause a debate on social media.

Now Hlomla has finally spoken out on the real reason why he left the show so abruptly.

“It was time. Generally, what tends to happen in any career is that if you stay in a character for long enough, it then becomes difficult to pivot away from it or to be perceived in any other way,” said the actor.

Hlomla was acting as Zweli Dikana on the soapie since the beginning now he’s going to die on the show.
