“We stand with Xolani Khumalo” says Gayton

Gayton McKenzie is a formerly convicted bank robber turned businessman and former Executive Mayor of the Central Karoo District Municipality in South Africa, as well as a motivational speaker, author, and president of the Patriotic Alliance political party.

He stands with Xolani and supports his clean-up work, unfortunately, he is in hot water with the law after one of the suspects passed away, after he was interrogated by his crew. He found himself on the wrong side of the law.

Xolani Khumalo, well known for raiding drug-dealer areas in his much-loved television show, Sizokuthola, found himself and his crew in the center of a discourse after an interrogation led to a man’s death.Drug dealers are obviously offended by the show. They will try all methods to destroy the show, including spinning stories in the media. “Intellectuals” will write long opinion pieces and get the show cancelled, and the drug business will return to normal, as was intended.

The young has risked his life to deal with a drug dealer. Reportedly, dangerous people and his arresting some of those dangerous people in the dangerous neighborhood and Gayton after the incident still stand behind him and support him.

He doesn’t support the killings, but people need to understand that South African are exposed to drugs. They will only get more and more addicted to them if they do not get rid of the criminals that sell drugs in the hood.

The country needs more people like Xolani that will take risks to protect the country and make it a better place for everyone.

Big Win For Former Uzalo Actress

Uzalo on SABC 1 has been keeping South Africans glued to their screen for the last few years. The story lines have been keeping fans interested and for the most part, it has been very refreshing to see new faces. Even then we have seen that actors come and go but the roles they have played will forever be with us. One of those memorable actresses is no other than Nompilo Maphumulo who has been one of the original casts of the show.

Over the years we have seen many characters getting killed off with no hopes of coming back, we have also seen characters that have been with the show from the very beginning leaving the show. As fans it is always sad to hear about a character who has been let go but still It came as a lot of shock to fans of the show as allegations were made that the actress have not been offered a contract for another season.

Sadly the rumours were proved to be true when Nompilo Maphumulo made a dramatic exit on the show. In her role as Nosipho Xulu, the actress came in as a spoilt daughter from a rich gangster family and over the years we saw her character growing on the show, we also got to witness the struggles the character went through like when she lost all of her family, we also saw her character going through relationship problems and just when her character found happiness, the last thing we expected was an exit.

Her exit from the show was not the end of the road but merely a new beginning to walking a different path as she has landed herself a new role on Generations The Legacy on SABC1. Her new character comes in as the baby mama to Mrekza. Seeing her grow into her new character has been a joy to watch. Nompilo has owned her character and it seems like her skills have not gone unnoticed. Nompilo Maphumulo has recently won herself an award at the Simon “Mabhunu” Sabela KZN Film and Television Awards as the Best Actress for her role on Uzalo.

Even though we no longer see her on the show, it is wonderful to see that all the years she had put into her character had been acknowledged and appreciated. The Uzalo show on SABC1 have congratulated the actress on their social media platforms for the award as this is also a win for them. Even though Nosipho might have been on other shows, it is her role on Uzalo that she is mostly known for.
