Lvovo embarks on 5-day walk for stroke awareness

Kwaito artist Lvovo is embarking on a 5-day walk from Newcastle to Durban, KwaZulu-Natal for stroke awareness.

Lvovo Derango who suffered a stroke in December last year, seeks to raise funds through the walk for his medical treatment.

In partnership with the eThekwini Municipality, and the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Health Department, Lvovo was appointed as an outstanding member to support Zulu-Natal Health Awareness of strokes.

The 40-year old, suffered a stroke while he was on-stage busy with a performance, a day before Big Nuz member and fellow artist Mampintsha died after suffering two strokes.

Lvovo shared his plans to have a series of events to raise awareness for strokes.

“The wheels of the revolutionary movement are greased up and ready to roll.

History has been recorded on 22 September 2023 when Kwaito musician Lvovo Derrango was appointed as an outstanding member to support KwaZulu-Natal Health Awareness.

State Health Minister Nomagugu Simelane welcomed Lvovo Derrango as a plea for Health Door at an event in Durban.

The legendary song “Bayangsukela” will have a series of events where we raise awareness about this disease in collaboration with Zulu-Natali Health Center.”
Due to his health the artist would only be able to complete 2km of the 5-day walk, and says his team and others in support of the walk will be carrying out the full walk.

Lvovo says the general misconception is that strokes only affect old people, but says this is not true and anyone can suffer a stroke.

Last year singer Lira also suffered a stroke, which affected her ability to speak, read and write.

Lira has since made incredible progress, and performed for the first time since suffering her stroke earlier this month.

Mihlali’s boyfriend Leeroy Sidambe ‘ordered to pay spousal support’

Zimbabwean-born businessman Leeroy Sidambe – who is also socialite Mihlali Ndamase’s boyfriend – has reportedly been ordered to pay spousal maintenance and accommodation rent for his estranged wife.

Sunday World reports that the wife cannot be named for legal reasons.According to the publication, the wife obtained a court order at the Johannesburg High Court.

It was previously reported that the wife had argued that because her ex can afford to shower Mihlali with luxury gifts and vacations, he can afford to pay spousal maintenance to the amount of R156 000.

Additionally, she also reportedly argued that the businessman is paying for the social media personality’s up-market cluster house in Bryanston, which is said to be more than the R100 000 he pays for the bond of their marital home.In another argument for her R156 000 maintenance bid, the woman claimed that the couple had spent several nights at a 5-star hotel in Mexico which costs about R28 693 per night out of season.

“In a picture from Ndamase’s Facebook profile, uploaded on or about December 5 2022, Ndamase is seen reading a book while surrounded by eight Louis Vuitton shopping bags, displays a Louis Vuitton handbag with a further three-year Yves Saint Laurent shopping packages in the background,” read the papers.

She also made mention of their baecation in Mauritius with Somizi and his entrepreneur friend Ndo Maleho. The court order was also to force Leeroy to return the luxury Range Rover Vogue Autobiography he had bought for the wife and later allegedly gave it to Mihlali.

Leeroy reportedly told his ex that he could not return the vehicle because he had taken it to PT Paint and Panelbeaters for repairs. However, after the wife’s lawyer visited the Panelbeaters, they allegedly discovered that the car was in for a bumper repair and not for a faulty brake system as he reportedly claimed.

In the court papers, she further said that her estranged husband laughed at her and told her that the police in Sandton would never arrest him because they do his bidding.

“I verily believe this, as they have done nothing to date despite the fact that I have laid a legitimate criminal complaint against the applicant,” read the papers.

Sizokuthola presenter Xolani Khumalo (33) should face more charges.

Sizokuthola presenter Xolani Khumalo (33) should face more charges.

The family revealed this through their private investigator known as AB.On Friday, 22 September, the family addressed the media at Reiger Park in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni.

The investigator said the family believes there should be more charges against Xolani. He could face charges of damage to property and theft.

“Two cellphones, Open view decoder, a wristwatch, and R3 000 were stolen when Xolani and Sizokuthola crew went to the room where the deceased was renting.

“The furniture was damaged, and the family believed the cops were protecting Xolani,” AB said.

He said the family wants the investigating officer removed from the case and the docket handed over to the provincial investigating team.

AB said the family is baffled that only Xolani was arrested, yet his crew and amaphanyaza (Gauteng Wardens) were also at the scene when Robert was allegedly.

“It’s a fact that the deceased was selling drugs. The family doesn’t want to hide that.“Robert was found with two plastic of CAT drugs inside a remote control, and he was supposed to be taken to the police station and charged with the possession,” he said.“To make matters worse, when Robert was taken away from the scene, he wore his girlfriend’s clothes.

“Two men were seen carrying Robert to the car, and they later drove to the hospital without telling the family where they were taking him,” AB said.

The investigator said all the people who were at the scene should face the music.

“The family wants justice because they feel the case is not properly investigated. It might lead to Xolani being acquitted.

“They say cops failed them as Xolani was charged two months after the incident happened,” the investigator added.

Robert (49), a father of eight children, was allegedly assaulted on 19 July at Phadima Section in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni.

Xolani, known for raiding drug-infested areas on Moja Love’s much-loved show, Sizokuthola, appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 19
