Asiphe Kamva Madikwa, a young man, born and raised in Cape Town (has roots in Mount Fletcher in the Eastern Cape) was in matric in 2019 — he chose to redo matric almost five years later in hopes of attaining better marks the second time around. The now matriculant of 2023 is proud to have achieved the Top Achiever award at his school and on numerous occasion as seen in his TikTok video.

Asiphe Kamva Madikwa has proved that if you try and try again, you truly can achieve anything you put your mind to. The young man put his pride and ego aside and decided to go back to high school almost five years after he was in matric.

 

 

“I wasn’t impressed with matric results in 2019, so I decided to go back to school. I became a Top Achiever at my school in term one. Again, in terms two [and three], I maintained the Top Achiever position,” Madikwa said.
