THE Wife ‘s soap breaks the sad news , with the second season coming to a end on May 5.

The show , which has caught the attention of many in the country, will return for the third season later this year.

Kevin Kriedemann of Showmax said they do not yet know when the third season will start, but will announce it later.

“The soap is off to a break recently after being nominated for the DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards, where it got nominated in four categories. Congratulations to the cast, including Kwenzo Ngcobo who was nominated for Rising Star, Abdul Khoza, Bonko Khoza who was nominated for Favorite Actor and Zikhona Sodlaka who was nominated for Favorite Actress, ”said Kevin.

He said the show’s viewers recently welcomed actor Gaisang K Noge, who plays Naledi.

“We will help people with what is happening with the game but all we can say is that it is not over, you are just taking a break, you are coming back with a lot of it,” he explained.

He said there were many local programs starting at Showmax next month, including the fifth season of Somizi’s live show, Living The Dream with Somizi .

Some of the things he said were plays that including Wounds, Umkhokha, Last Blue Ride, Sex in Afrikaans and Welcome to the Family.

He said as the show The Real Housewives of Durban came to an end last week, there would be final episodes where women would look back at the events that would be shown on May 6 and May 13.
