Another celebrity actress becomes a Sangoma

Andrea Nomasebe Dondolo is a South African activist and actress who played the role of Brutus’s sister, Bongi who was killed during a Thembisa ten protest on Mzansi Magic’s The Queen. The actress has been in the industry for decades and the other roles she has played includes Nandi in Home Affairs (2005-2007) and as Ayanda Twala – a township tourism operator and Lerata’s best friend – in Stokvel, from 2003-2012. Andrea was also featured on Leon Schuster’s movie Mama Jack in 2005.

A few months ago the actress opened up about accepting her calling as a Sangoma (traditional healer). She shared she faced a lot of challenges before accepting her calling.

This is something we have heard from a lot of people who are now traditional healers, some say they were sick or facing problems in their homes and not being able to work for their families. This shows how serious this thing is.

Andrea is now among other celebrities who have accepted their callings and practicing as healers like Lettoya Makhene, Lerato Mvelase, Boity Thulo and many more.
