Mdoda has been keeping people busy in the streets of Twitter in the past weeks because of the beef that she has with the American singer Kelly Rowland, this started when these women were competing with their pictures on social media where Mdoda acted like Rowland in some pictures.

Mdoda was also the MEC at the Miss South Africa peagent where many people were left angry because of how she presented the show.
