Israel Makoe is a well-known South African actor, poet, musician, and dancer who is best known for his gangsta role as GP in SABC1’s Gaz’lam. He has portrayed a wide range of characters, and in the most of them, he is not a saint.

 

He is one of the people who makes people believe he is also a thug in real life. Before starting his acting career, he was arrested in real life. In one interview, he stated that his arrest aided him in pursuing his dream of becoming an actor.

The latest role he portrayed was of a gangsta on Gomora Mzansi. His character was killed off in November, and it was said that he asked to be written off, due to his health condition, which was also affecting his performance.
