Just like any other celebrities having an easy to pronounce name is one of the main things an international public figure would want.

So many artists and actors have changed their real names for stage or nicknames.

This African born singer has a very long name which could be very hard for his legion of fans to pronounce better yet to memorise.

Akon was born in Senegal and his real name in full is Aliaune Damala Badara Akon Thiam.

In other news, last week the singer found himself on top of trends after admitting that at a certain point he used his brother as a body double when he was fully booked.

He and his brother really look alike so many could not notice the difference.
