It has been just over two months since the death of rapper Kiernan AKA Forbes. The parents of AKA did an exclusive interview with YOU where they shared how they found out that their son had been assassinated in Durban. Lynn Forbes said that she was with her sister Trudy and her husband Trevor when her youngest son Steffan Forbes called and told the news to Trevor. Lynn said that she knew it was bad news when Trevor asked her to sit down however she thought it was her mother.

 

 

 

Lynn Forbes said that her brother-in-law then told her that it was Kiernan. Lynn said that she remembered falling on the floor and was hysterical. She said that she didn’t want anyone to touch her. “I didn’t want anyone to touch me until Steffan came after an hour and hugged me and said he would take care of everything” Lynn Forbes said. Tony Forbes the father of AKA said that he was at home and was asleep and wasn’t answering any calls from the family until Lynn’s niece drove to his gate at around midnight and told him that her father wanted to talk to him on the phone.

Tony Forbes said upon hearing the news he had passed out. Tony also said that he had to take a flight to Durban the next morning to identify the body of AKA. Tony said that seeing his son’s lifeless body at the morgue has caused a tremendous amount of pain. “I keep replaying that Saturday morning in my head. There are days where I can’t see beyond the pain and nothing else matters” Tony Forbes said.
