AKA’s Legacy Lives On: Lookalike Raises Eyebrows On The Internet

Award-winning rapper AKA was buried on Saturday during a private funeral only attended by close friends and family.

The rapper was gunned down, in what police have since confirmed was a hit, outside Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban on February 10.

He was declared dead by paramedics who arrived on the scene of his cold-blooded murder.

Fans of the Sim Dope rapper who are yet to come to terms with his death believe the rapper is still alive. Their belief has been strengthened by the emergence of the lookalike of AKA in South Africa.

At first glance, the individual bears a remarkable similarity to the late rapper such that one cannot help but take a second look to make sure they are not seeing AKA reincarnate.

Others have suggested that the Supa Mega probably had a secret twin or rather they were separated at birth like in the movies. However, there is no public record where AKA or his mother Lynn Forbes mention a twin.

The lookalike has capitalised on his uncanny resemblance to AKA and meticulously mimics the Jealousy hitmaker’s fashion and hairstyles to the tee. The yet-to-be-identified man has gained tremendous notoriety across social media platforms and has been the topic of numerous discussions.

While little is known of this lookalike as far as his musical talent is concerned, some have been audacious enough to suggest that he should carry on AKA’s legacy.

However, some have criticised the man’s timing saying it causes shock and confusion to AKA’s legion of fans who are still grappling with the reality of the singer’s untimely demise.

It is possible that the lookalike could either be AKA’s distant relative or simply a chance resemblance. But, no matter their true identity, this doppelganger has stirred up quite a bit of discussion and debate on social media.
