AKA won’t get state Funeral | Says Residency

Few days ago, we have learnt about the passing away of the South African well known rapper AKA whom passed on after being shot and killed while he was from restaurant in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal province.

Many people regarded him as one of the people whom had played huge role in the music industry and entertainment industry in larger.


Premier of Gauteng province and African National Congress Chairperson together with the African National Congress Secretary General Fikile Mbalula visited his family on Tuesday and informed them that they’ve applied for him to get provincial state funeral.

Now it is unfortunate that the President of the Republic of South Africa and African National Congress Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa had rejects Gauteng premier’s request for AKA state funeral.

Premier Panyaza Lesufi denied the request was for a financial contribution. He said the province wanted to honour the rapper by draping his coffin with the South African flag and to fly the flag at half-mast.
