Minister Nathi Mthethwa had announced a relief package for artists affected by the national lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
AKA has been vocal about the negative effects of the lockdown especially the job losses that have taken place. A tweep asked the rapper if he welcomes Nathi Mthethwa’s relief package for artists and the rapper.
Supa Mega asked the tweep what is he supposed to with R2200 a month? AKA may not know what to do with R2200 a month but it is more than R350 ordinary South Africans are receiving.
Tweeps weren’t that impressed with AKA’s comment as R2200 goes a long way for some households but some said that at the end expenses were not the same.Compensated? He didn’t earn that R2200, in fact, by losing incoming he hasn’t earned anything, literally! Just because he is a celebrity? We have to get a maximum UIF of R6.6k and we accepted our cap, whether we made R10k or R100k a month, even that we put away for ourselves…
