AKA had been receiving threats shortly after Anele died according to his bodyguard Anwar Khan

On the 10th of february popular musician Kiernan Forbes was shot dead outside a restaurant on Florida road in Durban. The rapper was in the area because he was supposed to perform at the YuGo club. His death has shattered many hearts. AKA was laid to rest on the 18th of february in Johannesburg.

 

On the 21st of march his bodyguard Anwar “Dogg” Khan had an interview with Annika Larsen on the show My Guest Tonight. Anwar was AKA’s bodyguard for 8 years whenever he was in Durban but on the 10th of february he was booked but signed someone else to protect AKA. Anwar was a also bodyguard for American musicians such as Snopp Dogg and Alicia Keys. He says that there were no plans for the rapper to go to Florida road and would have stopped AKA from going there if he was protecting him. Anwar says that AKA had been receiving threats shortly after Anele Tembe died. The threats seem to come from the same people. Khan went on to add that AKA did not have any problems with other musicians.
