South Africans received sad news about their favourite rapper – AKA, who confirmed to the media that he tested positive for covid-19. The news came two days after his child’s birthday.
“In an attempt to create awareness around the virus and to caution citizens to be careful in their daily interactions with others, AKA has chosen to make his results public” read the statement.
The rappers news comes after a number of celebrities have come public with their statuses. Zola Hashtsi and Mshoza being amongst those who have confidently came out.
The artiste’s management released a statement that AKA shared on his Twitter page that said it was his way to raise awareness about the pandemic.
