Advocate arrested as Senzo Meyiwa case takes a new twist

There are some cases which are in our courts which now seem to have verdicts which never come to fruition. These cases will drag for years and years at the same time there will be no signs of any resolution in sight.

Such is the case of the late Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa. Meyiwa was viewed is one of the brightest prospects in the Bafana Bafana team and was a key player at Orlando Pirates at the time of his death.

There are suspects who are in police custody who are being accused to be behind his murder. However, our courts are failing to hand the decisive verdict which will be able to pronounce the fate of the suspects. Should we blame the detectives for not doing a worthy job for the former Orlando Pirates shot-stopper?

A report which has been published by the Crime In South Africa on the 28th of April 2022 opened up on what has been partly the cause of the delay in sentencing the suspects.

However, this update gave a new twist to the case. The report states that one Advocate known as Teffo has been arrested immediately after court. He is now facing charges of being in Contempt of Court after missing a court appearance.

Some may be left wondering who this advocate really is. Advocate Teffo is representing the accused individuals in the Senzo Meyiwa trial and many are of the belief that his actions have contributed to the impasse which the judiciary is now facing regarding this case.
