When Masasa Mbangeni‘s onscreen character Thembeka Shezi was killed on popular show Scandal fans were left in their feelings.

When asked what she will be doing next she said she would be taking some time off to focus on her mental health and love her producer bae Gwydion Beynon.The met 10 years ago but only got into a relationship recently because she had been working on her mental health and refuses to credit her bae with the joy she has now.

“I cultivated that joy my damn self through tonnes of suffering, ongoing therapy, isolation, loss, and pain.”

Masasa is not afraid to put thirsty fans in their place.Gwydion is also in the entertainment industry and co owns Tshedza Pictures along with Phathu Makwarela and the duo produce The River. On their relationship Phathu says it wasn’t like at first sight.

“We met at Muvhango, about thirteen years ago. We were both so young and inexperienced! I was already employed as a researcher, a storyliner and a scriptwriter. Gwyd came on board as a storyliner. We didn’t like each other much at first, but then we slowly started to realise that we both shared a real passion for storytelling. We started working on stories together, and found that we had complimentary skills, and enjoyed working together.” he revealed to TVSA.
