In my experience, every wedding I’ve attended where a lot of money was spent on the ceremony and reception ended with the couple getting a divorce. Everyone. All the short-lived marriages, or better yet, elopements, have turned out to be successful in the long run. The initial lack of pressure is probably the main factor.
