Israel Matseke-Zulu of Gomora was recently seen celebrating his birthday after having his right leg amputated due to gangrene.

Because of his condition, the actor had to leave the famous serial in October.

According to the Sunday World, the multi-award-winning actor had his right leg amputated.

According to a source close to the actor, he had surgery in November at a Sandton hospital.

Matseke-Zulu, who has been upfront about his struggles, claimed he was having trouble getting around on set and had to use a wheelchair for his final parts.

Matseke-Zulu spoke with them on Friday (10 December) and verified the operation on his right leg, according to the publication.

He also said he was recovering from the surgery, and he is surrounded by his loved ones at home.

When fans saw photographs of the actor enjoying his birthday with intimate friends and family, they were overjoyed.

In the Facebook photos shared by Lavas Mohlala, the actor is seen covering his right leg.

In his interview with SABC 2 TV host Lethabo Lejoy Mathatho in Leihlo la Sechaba, Matseke-right Zulu’s leg is also clearly visible.

His picture without his leg and people had their reaction
