When Thapelo Molomo became a contestant on Idols South Africa, he was immediately thrust into the public eye. He began his journey in the competition; the singer took a break from his duties as a warrant officer at a British police station in North West to concentrate on his music.

During the week, I spend the majority of my time working, and after hours, I engage in musical activities such as recording sessions and the like. Then music is absolutely unavoidable on the weekend and nothing else. I’m very excited to be a part of the South African Police Service (SAPS), as well as to return to work while continuing to balance my music career.

Makhadzi, an award-winning singer who is also from Limpopo, acknowledged Thapelo’s efforts in making Limpopo proud and singing her hit song Limpopo. She posted Thapelo on her social media handles and thanked him for doing so.
