Somizi Mhlongo has been trending on social media ever since IdolsSA started playing. Due to him not being on the show anymore, a lot of people were not impressed that his presence is absent and a lot of people are feeling it.

It seems a lot of people already miss the personality and entertainer on the show. No one really knows when Somizi will make a return again to the show.

The surprising thing is that when Somizi was on Idols, people wanted him canceled. Now that he is no longer on the show and they are seeing that there is a huge difference, they want him back.

Yesterday’s episode was the first that did not feature Somizi. People started making comments on Twitter about how the show feels a bit already different without Somizi’s energy.

@Tjrmakhetha said, “Somizi is one of the main reasons why idols became as big as it is. He brings more entertainment to the show than even the singing on many occasions. They are crazy if they think they’ll do just fine without him”.

@mj_lebetsa said, “it’s gonna be a long season without Somizi am already feeling depressed”

@tonymondi said, “The reason why #IdolsSA isn’t making it on even top 10 trending topics on Twitter is that @somizi energy is missing”.

In my analysis, I think that Idols will eventually bring back Somizi to the judges’ panel. It may not be now, but they will bring him back. When Somizi came on the show, the number of the viewership increased, and this is something that they really need to consider.
