A Big Surprise For Music Lovers From Oskido as He Celebrates 26 Years of Relevance in The Industry

DJ Oskido marks 26 years of producing hit after hit with the release of his latest album which is titled-Back to the Future. Oskido has vowed to give his fans the best music he can, his latest project is the mixture of Kwaito and the fresh sound of Amapiano. He actually wants to take fans of South African music back in time when Kwaito ruled the airwaves all over the country. The first track in his project is titled Back to the future and it features Kwaito legends, Spikiri and Professor, alongside, the Queen of Amapiano Lady Du.

As the ceased producer and DJ, Oskido adopted wayback the borderless outlook in music, hence he find it easy to join forces with a Nigerian sensual singer and songwriter Niniola to create another amapiono track titled Banky Banky. His experience in music makes it easier for him to just switches from genre to genre. The angelic voice of Niniola will immediately capture your attention with her both lyrics which are in English and her mother tongue, Yoruba language.

Remember, this is the first time DJ Oskido releases Amapiono beats, so he made sure that he doesn’t disappoints but add some classic feel in it so that everyone can be catered for. When commenting with this collaboration with Niniola, he said he had reached out to her about three or four years ago. And asked her when are they going to do a track together. In a nutshell, Oskido have been talking about it all these years and finally the big moment has arrived for him.

Another hit song in his project is called Ubambe Bani (Who’s accompanying you), this one revives the cross of Amapioano and Kwaito with the return of Lady Du singing lyrics that pay homage to some Kwaito artists, the likes of Mandoza, Mafikizolo, Boom Shaka and the late Queen of Pop Music, Breda Fassie. This hit song takes one back to during the era of street culture dance and fashion, while also still keeping us in touch with how that particular sound of Kwaito paved a way to the birth of other genres like Amapiono and Gqom music. Lets celebrate our home-based genres as Africans.
