In African culture, the elders are the ones who will advise on how things should be done, especially for sacred things like a funeral. There is no such thing as a 20-something dictating the process because she is the wife. Every family drama, whether it’s a funeral, wedding, graduation, or any other gathering of relatives, is directed by women for women.
It looks like Mampintsha’s funeral will be marred by war of words between those from his mother’s side in KwaMashu and the family of Babes Wodumo. Apparently this unnecessary drama unfolded outside the mortuary earlier yesterday.
Opinion
Black people must stop this nonsense of fighting during funerals as if they cared about the deceased. Only they care is policies and material stuff left by the guy as if he didn’t leave his own child and wife behind. This message is directed to all wicked Aunties, brothers and uncles.
