During their playing days and post retirement most of these professionals are paid large sums of money and when they celebrate a special occasion they deserve a best gift that money can’t buy.

The year 2021 has so far been a blessing in disguise for former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns attacking midfielder Teko Modise. In September the retired footballer turned football pundit was named as Mamelodi Sundowns brand ambassador alongside fellow star Tiyani Mabunda. However his recent birthday is not like the many he has had solely because over a week ago Teko Modise and Koketso Chipane were blessed with a son. As a headline marker during his playing days and even post retirement, he took to Instagram to make this exciting announcement in style. The Soweto born retired footballer took to IG to share a picture in a hospital looking through a glass window adoring his son.Teko Modise would go to caption the shared series of images with, “The King’s arrival”.

Celebrating the birth of his son the father of two would go to reveal that it feels like he is a first time father as the pregnancy was planned and also the fact that he was able to attend all hospital checkups and sonograms. On Wednesday Teko Modise’s colleagues in the industry the likes of Musa Bilankulu and Hlompho Kekana have since taken to IG to send their birthday wishes.
