Former Generations actress Phemelo Motene who played Khensani Moroka have now diverted to radio after spending a couple of years on television. She was the presenter of The Weekend Breakfast on 702 for 3 years before quitting the radio station for SAfm where she presents SAfm Life Happens.
Phemelo who was married to ex-husband Mthandeni Ngcobo for 16 years, they got divorced 2019 a decision which Phemelo Moteno said was very hard for her children to accept, she did not disclose the Reason to which led to the End of her 16 years marriage.
The 41 year old Darling of the airwaves says she is passionate about her hair more than anything at this moments, she reckons it is more political than she is.
“My hair! [a natural afro at the time of the interview] Everyone thinks it’s a statement but it’s not – my hair is a lot more political than I am. The hair is wash and go and that’s what I’m loving about it,” she said.
Pemelo also revealed that she just can’t resist anything that has Chocholate, but chocolate cake is always on top.
“Chocolate. Particularly chocolate cake but it has to be good chocolate cake – I can tell a bad cake from a mile off, and I have very high standards for chocolate cake.”
Phemelo Motene exchanged some spicy responses with her listeners who had different opinions about whether SA should be helping to feed illegal immigrants during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The outspoken presenter did not hold back and express exactly how she feels about foreigners, she expressed that they should be taken care of regardless of where they are from.
