Zoleka Mandela has been hospitalised for radiation.

On Tuesday, she posted papers from the hospital to her Twitter page and said it would take a while.

“I’m getting radiation on my spine and hips, and I’m waiting for chemotherapy because the cancer is getting worse. It’s going to take a long time, but I’m so grateful for how hard the medical team and staff are working to improve my health. Peace. Passion, optimism, and #TerminallyFree.”

The author told Phemelo Motene on Kaya FM’s Point of View how she is getting ready for her own death.

“This might sound strange, but I think I’m blessed or lucky to be in the planning stages of my life. I’m talking to my family, my lawyer, my therapist, and my brothers about what will happen when I die and after I die.

Zoleka said on Instagram in August 2022 that doctors had found cancer in her bones.

I’m getting radiation on my back and pelvis and waiting for chemotherapy because the cancer is getting worse. It’s going to take a long time, but I’m so grateful for what the medical team and staff are doing to help me get better. Peace. Passion. Positivity.

“What do I say to my kids? How do I tell them I might not be able to live my life as a survivor this time? How do I tell them everything will be fine when it’s not? I’m dying. What do I say to my kids?”How do I tell them I might not be able to live my life as a survivor this time? How do I tell them everything will be fine when it’s not? I’m dying. I don’t want to die,” she wrote at the time, adding that she was heartbroken that her fight with cancer was not over.

“My back has hurt for more than a month, and I went to the doctor when the pain in my left rib became too much to bear. A few days ago, I went to get an X-ray of my chest and ribs. “Cancer has caused me to break and swell in a way that isn’t normal,” she said.
