Queen B, also known as Bonang Matheba, is a well-known South African model, businesswoman, radio host, and television presenter. She is no longer well-known with her middle name Dorothy.
She looked up to her parents as role models, so when they divorced, she was devastated.
Since 2002, Bonang has maintained a high level of national visibility by starting and succeeding in numerous businesses. Her businesses include a lingerie line created in partnership with Woolworths and House of BNG, a premium beverage company.
The model asserts that she was the first Black South African to be featured in various magazines, adding to her notoriety. She is recognized as the first South African celebrity to introduce B*Dazzled, an online reality program, in 2011.
In 2013, she became the first international ambassador for Revlon outside the United States. The next year, she became the host of the MTV Europe Music Awards (2014) pre-show. This adds to her firsts, and makes her the first African to receive an E! News Special Africa on E!
Bonang recently left people concerned when she posted that “they’ll pretend to care ka July” this caused a stir on social media with some suspecting that she is referring to the Durban July festival.
