Hlomla Dandala is a South African tv presenter and actor, he is best known for playing the of Derek Nyathi on Sabc3’s popular soapie Isidingo from 1998 to 2001. He also starred on a number of local and international tv shows including Jacob’s Cross in 2007, Rockville season 3, in 2015, etv’s soapie Scandal from 2016 to 2019.

 

 

 

 

 

 

He was a presenter for Sabc1’s popular tv show All You Need Is Love from 2002 to 2003. He is currently known for playing the of commissioner Zweli Dikana, “lala” as called by his TV wife Sindi Dlathu who plays the role of Lindiwe Dikana. He is one of the most respected people in the South African entertainment industry.

The legendary actor was born on 22 September 1974, in the Eastern Cape. He is 48 years old. Outside his television career, Hlomla is a proud father to 5 children, three girls and two boys.

His eldest daughter, Ziyanda Dandala was born in 2003 and she is mothered by his ex wife Candy Litchfield. His second born child is named Toa Dandala, followed by his son Maki and then his daughter Ayanda, his last born is a son named Samkelo Dandala.

Hlomla seems to be a great father who has time for all his children.
