Lunathi Mampofu is an actress, singer, and fashion designer. She is best known for playing the role of Zikhona in the SABC 1 drama series Ingozi, which was among her first TV roles. She also starred as Benni on Mzansi Magic’s telenovela, The Queen.

Lunathi was born on 7th March 1987 in Cape Town, South Africa. She is the daughter of Nosabata and Patrick Mampofu. Lunathi Mampofu siblings are Oros Mampofu and Mkhokheli Prince Mampofu.
While growing up, her parents and brother’s obsession with the art industry largely influenced her career choice. She was also highly inspired by his elder twin brothers, who were doing excellent in the industry. Journalists often tailed Oros and Prince in a bid to profile their work, and she wished the same for herself.
She attained her training at the South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance (AFDA) and graduated in 2010. Later, she joined the New York Film Academy and graduated in 2013.
Lunathi started her career at a young age. She performed in school and other competitions, which gave her attention from the media. While in New York City and Los Angeles, California, she took part in several professional and student movies, including Umthandazo, Rising Light, Shack Attack and Mercy, among others.
Upon returning to South Africa, Lunathi made her TV debut in 2016, where she starred as a spiritualist in an episode of Mzansi Magic drama series known as Isikizi. The show aired on 5th September.
