Veteran show organiser Partson “Chipaz” Chimbodza has finally spoken on Makhadzi’s show in Mutare which was nothing short of a disaster on Good Friday.
The South African songstress was left terrified and had to run for cover after some of the people who attended the show, started throwing missiles at the VIP section.
Initial reports suggested that fans threw missiles after being angered by her decision to use pre-recorded tracks. Another report that has also been circulating is that the venue was overcrowded, resulting in a stampede as fans clamoured to record the songstress on their phones.
I think the behaviour of Zimbabweans on this matter is justifiable, just because they are Zimbabweans, it does not mean that they have to be taken for granted. She was supposed to take her show seriously, she must remember that Zimbabweans once signed a big cheque last time when she was performing that cheque changed her life for the better. Even if it was me, I would not be satisfied after paying my money, that an artist should use pre-recorded songs instead of performing live. The moment an artist begins to do that, then it means it is no longer a live show, and of which that is what the fans have paid for, so it was not right I hope Makhadzi learnt her lesson.
Thank you
