Soutb African rap music fans were left heartbroken a few months ago, this is after when one of the country’s best rappers, he was shot and killed in Durban on that fateful night when he was out with his friends, an unknown man just ambushed him from behind and shot him on the head from point-blank range killing him instantly, but it seems is in trouble even from inside his grave.

 

 

 

Legendary South African Musician Caiphus Semenya is demanding from the dead man suggesting that he owes him royalties from one of his song which Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes used without his permission, now he is reportedly fighting since he felt he was disrespected.

According to reports, Semenya felt Forbes disrespected him by using his material without concent, he confronted him, the late Kiernan admitted and apologised, he allegedly promised to fix the mess, but he he never lived long enough to fix the mess he created since he was shot and killed before doing it.

Reports emerging suggests that when Semenya though his track Masltswale was the only one AKA stole, it appear he used another track without permissions, now Semenya is fuming and demanind that he should be payed 50% of the royalties earned from his tracks.

“With AKA, Mr Semenya felt that AKA disrespected him and his work because he had used his intellectual property before (with the original track ‘Matswale’) but AKA later apologised and promised to fix it, but sadly he did not. So when he heard that he sampled yet another song without his permission, he wasn’t gonna take it lying down – dead or alive, as a matter of factly (as explained below) … so he unleashed his lawyers & is demanding 50% from the two songs – as per Sunday World article,” reports suggests.

Surely Kiernan turning from his grave, a lot has not been going well for him, he got shot and killed and his killers are yet to be arrested and it remains unknown who killed him, now it is Semenya who has unleashed his legal team on him.
