Actress and singer Marah Louw was born and raised in Mzimhlophe, Soweto. Marah was raised by her grandparents, who she believed were her biological parents, but 34 years after her mother’s death, she learned the truth and realized her mother was actually her sister all along. Because she was an illegitimate child, her grandparents raised her as their own.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Many people will always associate her with her role in the SABC 2 soap series Muvhango. Marah played Catherine Mokoena on Muvhango from its beginning in 1997 until 2007, when she decided to leave the show. In addition, she played Boi Maake on Mzansi Magic’s The Queen.
