Terry Pheto’s Luxury House Auctioned To Recover NLC Funds

Some of the celebrities have their hands deep in the public purse to an extent that they stop doing what used to put food on the table for them.It seems like south african celebrities are taking interest in the tenders allocated by governments.There are many people who are no longer on television or media industry.


 

 

 

 

The Special Investigating Unit has exposed few celebrities in the past few months,Arthur Mafokate,Terry Pheto and Prisley Chueneyagae are among those who were exposed by SIU.The trio are alleged to have wrongfully and fraudulently benefited from the funds of National Lotteries Commission,they used the funds for their personal reasons like buying luxury properties.The properties of the trio were frozen after SIU convinced the court that those properties were built with funds that were fraudulently received from the commission.The Special Investigations Unit of South Africa had today auctioned the luxury home of a well known South African actress Terry Pheto.According to the investigations,the house was built in the land that was bought with commission’s funds.Terry Pheto’s legal team didn’t challenge the court order.

Pheto still pleading innocent,she said she didn’t know about the funds and she had never been involved in any wrongdoing.These are the people who are admired by south africans for their influence in the entertainment industry,they never cease to disappoint.Terry Pheto is one of the few south africans who happened to impress the international acting industry after she played a central role in a popular south african movie called Tsotsi.

Pheto played in the International soap call the bold and the beautiful.After the expiry of her contract with the international soap,Terry disappeared and none of the south Africans knew what she was busy with.She resurfaced after a damning Special Investigations Unit’s report which implicated her on corruption.South African politics are corrupting good people who never had any interests on them.
