The Forbes family did a media briefing which was aired on the Enca YouTube page. During the media briefing the Forbes family showed up together and they were seen holding hands and comforting each other while Aka’s father Tony Forbes spoke.

 

Nadia Nakai was seated next to Aka’s mother Lynn Forbes who looked devastated. Nadia Nakai wore all black and a head wrap. Tony Forbes stated that they are aware of the NPA decision not to prosecute, he said that they have known since last year. However they are choosing to celebrate the life of Kiernan rather than pay attention to anything that is being said in the media.

Tony Forbes thanked Aka’s friends, business partners, neighbors and their family for making their mourning process easier. He also stated that Aka’s memorial service will be opened for the public but his funeral service will be private.
