He has been shot dead in Florida Road, Durban. Witnesses report that he was shot 6 times outside a nightlife venue. This is a devastating loss for the South African hip-hop community, and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

South African rapper and artist Kieran Forbes, popularly identified by his stage name AKA IV League, has been shot and killed on Florida Road in Durban, KZN.
Though an official statement over the incident is yet to be issued by authorities in that country, witnesses say that an altercation broke out earlier and firearms were discharged. This is believed to have happened after AKA posted his location on Instagram and just before his birthday show tonight.
