Real Housewives of Gqeberha dishes up drama as show hosts pre-screening

Media has the opportunity to attend the pre-screening of The Real Housewives of Gqeberha.

From the outset, actress and Gqeberha-based broadcaster Buli G Ngomane received a lot of shade from a number of the cast members.

But being a seasoned and award-winning media personality, Ngomane opted to stay positive, saying she hoped to use the platform to empower others.

“Without confirming or denying anything, I just want to say regardless of what happens, it is important that women are showcased in all of their fabulousness at every turn in every way.

“Regardless of whether we get along or not, there is work, a city, friendships to be showcased,” she said.

Go-getter Norma Nicol, who balances a busy work schedule with being a mother and wife, said: “If you put five queens in one room there is going to be fireworks”.

Liz Prins, another straightshooting businesswoman and dedicated mother, said on viewing the footage she was quite surprised at how she came across. Everyone was shocked, not believing Liz had said that.

“Aaah, my children, I wanted to crawl under the table, I rolled my eyes so much [in the first episode].

“On the other side, just looking at myself shading all the girls, I cannot believe I said that — that is not me, that is my alter ego.

“You can expect lots of fights, you just have to watch it,” Prins said.

Businesswoman and mentor Unathi Faku, the wife of former Nelson Mandela Bay mayor Nceba Faku, said she portrayed the most authentic version of herself during filming.
