After 5 years on air, @etv has pulled the plug on the KZN based telenovela.
The show will end in the 1st quarter of this year (2023)
The new telenovela coming to Etv will NOT be replacing #TheBlackDoor but Imbewu Imbewu: The Seed cancelled after five years of airing. Mzansi was shellshocked after it was revealed that e.tv had pulled the plug on one of its drama series. After five years of airing, it has been confirmed that Imbewu: The Seed is closing the curtain.

Reports have it that the channel has finally pulled the plug on this telenovela. However, in recent years the drama series has had its woes, just like any other drama series, from contract woes to mass exodus of lead actors.However, the recent shocking news about the cancellation of this KwaZulu-Natal-based telenovela has left many tongues wagging.

Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela shared a Twitter thread revealing that the channel has finally decided to cancel the show.
