” We do not condone GBV ” Moja Love Releases A Statement After Siyacela Abused Thando

One of the most worrying concerns in South Africa is gender-based violence, which is addressed month after month but shows little signs of improvement. This is particularly true given the volume of gender-based violence incidents that are reported every day and the fact that some of them progress to the point where the victims lose their lives. Citizens are protesting against gender-based violence and putting pressure on the administration because it has become such a major issue.

to enforce regulations that are more stringent when it comes to handling situations of gender-based violence. Many programme watchers do not support it entirely, even on television. On addition, viewers of Moja Love and the reality programme were furious after watching Siyacela abuse Thando in yesterday night’s broadcast of Isencane Lengane. She also mentioned how he has been known to hit her in front of their little child when she is cooking.

Since the young couple made the decision to be married when they were still teenagers, their reality TV show has seen a significant increase in viewers over the previous several seasons. Even though they have only been married for four years, things have not been going well. Thando has to deal with an unfaithful spouse who also abuses her while they are just starting out as parents.

Following yesterday’s programme, several viewers expressed their outrage and accused Moja Love of condoning gender-based violence because neither the producers nor anybody else in the room disciplined Siyacela when he was nasty toward Thando. During the entire incident, the police were called, and Thando was given the chance to open a case, which she declined to do. Moja Love stated in the statement that they do not at all promote gender-based violence.
