Sonia Mbele took to social media to vent about loadshedding. However, people did not take this well and she received some backlash for it. Sonia said ” Can someone PLEASE explain to me why I’m load shedding from 4pm Friday the 20th of Jan and I’m waking up on Saturday the 21st at 5:30am to prepare for an UNVEILING and there’s still no electricity!”.

 
People commented and said:

” Reality hits you now. You comrades thought your ‘celebrity’ status will exempt you’ll from the ANC political decay?”.

” You are not above the rest of us ,we all are going through it ,get some sort of backup power if you unhappy”.

” We are going through a crisis as a country, do not try to be smart to the president. All of our businesses are going through the same thing. Your unveiling is not special, hire a generator!”

” You are not special.

Loadshedding is causing even bigger problems for the whole country and the citizens then whatever problems it’s causing in your insignificant life”.

” Imagine a small business that hires 10 people having to close down because of electricity crisis. The damage is permanent. No Eskom will hire any of the retrenched people. We are talking about families here losing jobs. Unveiling sisi?”

Sonia probably did not anticipate the answers that she received from South Africans. However, loadshedding has hit everyone in the country. The least one can do to prepare themselves is to check their schedule so that they can plan accordingly.
