Dineo Ranaka (born 16 December 1983) is a South African radio personality, television presenter, actress, DJ and TV producer.

She gannerd local attention after her show Dineo Live on Drive on Yfm was a great success, it is her talent combined with her “can-do” attitude that landed her in the driver’s seat as YFM’s first female afternoon drive time jock on “Dineo Live on Drive” which she hosted every Monday to Friday from 3pm -6pm. She made an on-screen hit on etv’s Club 808.

 

 

 

 

Th entetainer is well known for being too controversial and outspoken, although she always believes in always being strong minded especially in industry such as television broadcast.

Back in 2010 September, Fireworks erupted between singer Kelly Khumalo and Dineo Ranaka during rehearsals for the YFM and Chevrolet Divas party. A source told the Sunday World newspaper that things went south after Khumalo arrived at the rehearsals more than two hours late,and that did not sit very well with her.



Meanwhile few days ago popular actress Khanyi Mbau claimed that most urban sangomas didn’t have any calling; she said most of them mistook their calling for anxiety.

“Urban sangomas. You do not have a calling. It’s anxiety. This is the most anxious generation. That’s why we have so many sangomas,” she wrote. Her statement has since sparked alot of debate on social media although some sided with her, and some found it a bit more distasteful.

The popular Dj said Mbau lacked knowledge about traditional healers. Likewise, a person who has never walked a day in your shoes will have tons of advice on how you should tie your laces,” the DJ wrote.

Ranaka further spoke on the importance of the tongue. It is believed her advice is for Khanyi who spoke against lots of traditional healers without any knowledge or understanding of spiritualality.
